Rising Force is a series of glass sculptures deeply rooted in the classic Swedish glass tradition in which I was trained.

It is a sister series to Royal Meltdown. The two series explore themes of collapse, change and renewal. With its architectural inspiration, Rising Force explores the force that can emerge in times of change, when old structures begin to fall away. In the ruins of the past, new possibilities are born and new directions begin to take shape. The sculptures are freehand-blown, deep cut, polished, and cold-assembled. Each sculpture has its own unique combination of forms and patterns.
